Gifts for Someone Who Juices! Christmas and Birthdays

Everyone gets a bit nervous when gift giving season comes around. And you don’t want to get your friend or family member smoething that they don’t want or enjoy. So it is a good idea to get them something tailored to their intersts.

Below is a list of some of the best gifts for someone who juices. After all, this being a juicing site that reviews juicers, I feel that I am in a pretty good spot to discuss the different types of gifts to give such a person.

I’ve set it up so that there are a few different catagories of gift. There are gifts that are at a low pricepoint (stocking stuffers, if you like) that are great for people who love to juse. These include the grow your own wheatgrass kits, juice containers, and fruit peelers. I’ve also included gift options for people who have a bit of a bigger budget and are comfortable buying a more expensive gift for their friend or family member.

My number one reccomendation is to get a great cold press juicer. This is a new, more compact model. Check it out here.

A Gift Of a New and Better Juicer!

Obviously the best gift for people who are into juices would be a new or improved juicer. I know that this can be outside of your budget, but if it’s not, then I wanted to go  over some choices.

Obviously if you know that your friend is really into juicing and making juices, but they already have a great juicer that they talk about and hype up all the time, then you should skip to the other reccomendations. But if your friend talks about juicing, and is always saying “I should get a juicer”, then you know the best gift for them!

I normally review juicers based on certain criteria:

And so on, for example.

But for this gift guide, I’ll focus more on price point and usability.

If you’re going to get a juicer as a gift for someone, then it is important that you have a few options on price. I’ve tried to select some affordable juicers that you could get as gifts.

However, I didn’t sacrifice quality when selecting these juicers. None of them are what I’d consider low quality juicers.  Here’s a few to pick from:

You have two different model Omega Juicers. These are always my go to reccomendations. They are the top of the line, work for years, best built juicers around.

You also have other models to choose from that are really well made if the higher end Omega is out of your pricepoint. Here’s an example of one of their more affordable models. This is a perfect “first” juicer that is still a serious, well made juicer.

A Set of Fresh Juice Containers: Perfect For Someone Who Juices

Everyone who juices eventually ends up making more jucie than they can drink in a single setting. And they are then faced with the question of where to put that extra juice.

Most people don’t have a set of safe, non-plastic containers to store juice. At best, you might have some blender bottles or ther water containers.

These are not a good fit for storing fresh juice because water is not like fresh juice. Fresh juice will interact with plastics and leach the plastics into the juice. Even if you are using a BPA free blender bottle, you are still going to have some leaching.

That’s why I reccomend that you use a clean and healthy material such as glass. And you want a good glass, not a cheaply made from some flimsy material that might break or might be made with harmful chemicals.

Here are a number of ones you can take a look at. They make an awesome gift for anyone who likes to make either fresh vegetbable or fruit juice.

A Good Book on Fresh Juice Recipes

Another thing that makes a great gift (you can even buy it to tag along with your set of glass juice containers if you like) is a nice book on juice recipes.

While you might think that anyone who makes their own vegetable juice is skilled enough and has an unlimited ammount of juice combos at their disposal. But that’s not true!

A good juice recipe book is like a great cookbook. It can spark the imagination and help you figure out what you are missing that you might want in your juice.

For instance, perhaps your friend has gotten into a rut and is making the same juice day after day. Maybe that makes them bored.

Citrus And Lemon Juicers

lemonade with a juicer

So, if you’re not an avid jucier, then you might not appreciate the distinction between different types of juicers. Some juicers are specifically designed for certain uses.

While the typical juicer is good for making all sorts of juices from green juices to fruit juices, it’s not that great at one particular type of juie: citrus.

If you’re friend is the type who likes to use fresh citrus juice: lemonade, lemon juice in cooking, etc… then you should most definately get them a really top of the line lemon juicer.

The lemon juicers shown here are all an excellent option. They make wonderful gifts for your friend who loves to juice, plus they are not that expensive. I reccomend that you chose the Chef’n Force. It’s super strong and unlike some cheaper juicers, it’s not prone to cracking!

Freshly Made Apple Juice with Apple Juicers

Best Juicer for Apple Juice

Ok, so see above how I mentioned that you only need a special juicer if you are planning on making lemon juice. Apples, and wheatgrass (mentioned below) are actually two other items that you might want a special juicer for.

Apples are something that you can certainly use with a regular juicer, in fact I created a whole article that covers how to make apple juice at home.

So, people who love to make apple juice everyday, as opposed to green juices might like to have a juicer that is best suited for that purpose.

A Stand Alone Wheatgrass Juicer

If you know anything about juicing, it’s that it takes a special type of person to get up the nerve to drink wheatgrass. It’s not one of the most pleasant tasting juices.

That said, for many people who juice, wheatgrass is the be all end all of the process.

Wheatgrass is super healthy. And if you’ve never had wheatgrass then you really should try some. It’s actually got a worse reputation than it deserves, as far as taste goes. It’s really not a terribly bad tasting product.

I will say that in order to make wheatgrass taste more palatable, I do like to add something like a fresh organic lemon. That powerful lemon flavor that is present in the lemon skin will totally overpower the wheatgrass flavor and you won’t have to worry about it.

If you are not into juicing a whole lemon, then you can certainly go ahead with adding something such as coconut water (some people will prefer to use a fresh coconut while others might use something like Zico).

Either way, wheatgrass is something to give serious thoughts to if you want to be healthy.

That said, if your friend has mentioned that they like making wheatgrass, then you might consider getting them a gift of a wheatgrass juicer.

If they don’t own a masticating auger juicer  then they are making wheatgrass with the wrong type of juicer. I have met people who make whatgrass with a crnetifugla juicer, but it’s not a good method. You are wasting too much wheatgrass and also, you’re creating a ton of cleanup.

So, instead, what I reccomend is that you get a manual wheatgrass juice (in lieu of an expenive auger designed electricla juicer).

Here are a few gifts for the wheatgrass juicer to consider. I included powdered wheatgrass, which is great if your friend just wants to add some to their regular juice. And I also included a grow your own wheatgrass containter.

Grow Your Own Wheatgrass

As I mentioned in the above section, one of the more popular things for people to juice (if they are serious about making their own juice) is to make wheatgrass.

It’s expensive to buy wheatgrass in the stores. You might pay upwards of $5-8 dollars a shot for a small ounce of wheatgrass. So, growing your own is a super way to get that healthy wheatgrass at a much cheaper price point.

Also, your friend can rest assured that they are getting organic wheatgrass if they grow it themselves.

This is a cool gift for a number of reasons. First, it is super useful. Your friend will be able to make their own wheatgrass juice. Secondly, it’s also a fun gift in that it’s a plant. Your friend can have it on their kitchen windowsill as a decoration.

It’s both a usefull and decorative gift.

Grown Your Own Herbs (Herbs for Juicing)

So this gift is somewhat similar to the above one which covers wheatgrass. Except these grow your own herb collections are more designed for herbs and not wheatgrass.

While you might not realzie it, there are plenty of people who juice herbs (for the incredibly nutrient value, not the flavor).

I am a big advocate of juicing parsley in small ammounts, and there is also a long history in medicial healing to juice oregano (studies at the bottom).

Herbs can also be used for cooking. So, if your friend happens to also be a home cook who likes cooking in addition to making their own fresh juice, this is a great gift idea.

Peel and Core Faster With These Cool Gifts

Great Stocking Stuffer Gifts for Someone who Juices

One of the tricky parts of making your own fresh juice is peeling fruit and coring fruit. While you can juice an uncored apple, many people don’t want to do that.

And you shouldn’t be juicing an unpeeled pineapple. It’s not good for your juice and you also can’t extract juice from the pineapple peel, so it’s a waste of energy, not to mention you can ruin your juicer.

So, here’a few items to check out. I have selected the pineapple peelers and corers for you to look at, since that is one of the most time consuming fruits to juice.

Non-Toxic Cookware: Gifts For Those Who Already Have a Juicer

Normally I would limit my recommendations to juicers and things that are directly related to juicing.

However, what happens if your friend already owns a juicer and you don’t want to buy them another one (good idea, it’s not wise to get someone something they already own).

Well, you could always get them some of the accessories listed above. Juicing bottles, in particular are perfect. The glass ones are great to have. That lets your friend have more than a few bottles on hand in case they are making an extra-large batch of juice.

But what I wanted to focus on here were some things that were slightly related to the juicing world.

Cooking Essentials! Non – Toxic cookware to be specific.

This section is going to focus safe non-stick pans and cookware. As you know, non-stick is mostly harmful and toxic. Basically, the chemicals invented years ago were shown to be dangerous to humans.  Thigs like cancer keep popping up in discussion after discussion.

So, I suggest you get some health non-stick or classic cookware (cast iron is a favorite of people who juice as it’s one of the best natural cooking materials).
